#Can you crossplay gta 5 pc and ps4 mods
Then again, call of duty pc players can still use mods against console players in modern warfare (Im not a programmer) but im sure theres a way to make it to where mods are disabled while crossplay is enabled. Even pc vs pc, rendering and fps rates can vary depending on the gpu. Pc plays have advantage over console due to render and fps differences. I mean call of duty PC players use hacks/ mods on modern warfare 2019 vs console players (i know cause a friend of mine can use them against console while on his pc)įps and render distances dont even effect crossplay. (Im not a programmer) but im sure theres some kind of way where they could disable use of mods when cross play is enabled or something. So graphics and render distances and fps rates have pretty much no affect on adding cross play or not. even 2 pc players can have different fps rates and render capabilities. Yeah they would have an advantage but even on games like call of duty or fortnite, pc has greater render distance. The render difference wouldnt matter too much. Unless you limit the servers to 30 ticks per second. Even if they play with the same controller, they always get the first shot, simply because the hardware reacts faster. Also, if someone on PC plays the game at 180 fps (GTA V's engine limit), compared to console players at 30, they have a clear advantage in reaction time.

(for the record, I don't play GTA as such) PC can set view distance higher than console, so PC players can kill console players from greater distance.

View distance and framerate are very important in competitive gaming. With graphics advantage I don't mean how pretty the game looks, but higher framerate and view distance, and turning grass off on PC to spot people hiding in it, which gives you an advantage over other players. The fact they havnt done this yet has to because of mods, not for auto aim or (as stupid as you are for suggesting it) graphics.
#Can you crossplay gta 5 pc and ps4 code
First off FPS has absolutely nothing to do with cross play, zero, graphics is simply just a localized component to the system you play on. Auto-aim isnt hard to combat, considering its a basic ''Does player have controller?" question in the code then a "keyboard=false" Im a programmer with a few dozen apps and over 10 years of experience, its really THAT simple. Not just a little false info, but a lot of false info. I would petition for that (and maybe they can save RDR2 by adding crossplay in next update) Rockstar wouldn't be willing to spend the necessary resources for crossplay on a 6 year old game, when they could instead release the Oppressor Mk3 and just sell more shark cards.Īs for why Rockstar did not add crossplay for GTA 5 in 2013 or for GTA 4 multiplayer before that, I guess they thought it wasn't worth it back then, but it certainly isn't worth it now.įor GTA 6, if they add it on release it would certainly be worth it. Third, GTA Online is now 6 years old, and crossplay is quite a fundamental feature in any game (often used as selling point) that should be added on release or at least early in its life cycle. Rockstar would need support from Sony and Microsoft to make it happen. Secondly, between Xbox1 and PS4, the hardware is similar enough but both platforms use different subscription services for Online. I'm sure most people on PS4/XB1 wouldn't be very welcoming of PC players with mods in their sessions. It wouldn't exactly be balanced unless you limit PC to 30fps and controller only. Consoles have only controller with or without auto aim, PC have keyboard and mouse, with optional controller and auto aim, higher frame rates, and most importantly, mods. For GTA 5, crossplay is not going to happen for a number of reasons.įirstly, the differences between PC and consoles are too large.
